August 07, 2008. Well it looks like Usher has finally realized the obvious - his career is in the toilet. And he's done something about it - he fired everyone.MediaTakeOut.com just learned that Usher fired his entire management team, split with his publicist and rehired his mother Jonetta Patton to take the helm.
Here's what Benny Medina - who managed Tyra Banks, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez had to say about the split:
With an artist like Usher, the bar is set really high. Whether it was management, marketing or the music, we achieved a number one single and a number one album. It is a completely new day and time in music now. In four years, his audience, demographic, and musical direction has changed. Records like Lil Wayne's 'Lollipop' are the type of phenomena that 'Yeah' was in 2004.
Usher ... you'd have better luck resurrecting your career if you fired that wife of yours, laid off the cake and frosting, and stepped up your dance game.
Oh - and that whole - I'm living a private life thing that you've been trying to do ... it's so 1998. Just ask Ashanti ... and Rihanna ....
